Pov. Janne

“heh I'm gonna win this thing” Janne smirked “your determination is inspiring but I'm afraid it’ll be embarrassing when I win after you say things like that” yew smiled and continued stretching. They both ran off in perfect sync Janne could feel the wispy air tangle his long spikey hair and began slowing down when he reached the cave. A scream was heard causing Janne to start running to yew’s aid “WHAT ARE YOU DOING UP THERE YOU BIG IDIOT” he yelled as he began to climb the rigid rocks. “I-I HEY WHO YOU CALLING AN IDIOT” yew screamed back now regretting looking down “THE STUPID SHRIMP WHO THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO CLIMB HUNDREDS OF FEET UP A CLIFF DISPITE HIS EVER-GROWING FEAR OF HIGHTS” finally he reached the stone in which his frightened friend was perched. “J-Janne I'm scared” yew muttered his face flushed “your stupid” Janne hugged him and looked out “sand as far as the eye can see” yew said now seeming a lot calmer with the company of his fellow adventurer and best friend. Janne let a smile sneak to the corners of his mouth “yeah” they sat there until dusk Janne got yew down safely and they made their way back to campus.

The cave

Yew's pov.

“c’mon yew stop dragging your feet and pick up the pace or I'm gonna leave you here to venture on your own” Janne said in a bored voice “wait up!” I ran too his side “you wouldn’t do that to me” his brows furrowed in worry “would you?” Janne was about to respond when a flash of brown and black shot past us. Janne yelped and knowing him to be the moody, cleaver, snarky person he was to yelp like that and to fear a few bats made yew laugh “hahahaha J-Janne that was priceless” I couldn’t help but continue laughing as he scolded me blurting out excuses and looking flustered at the same time.
